This position has the ability to be located in either our New York or Chicago offices.

Responsibilities

The Innovations and Planning Manager will oversee and finalize the planning and buying phases of integrated marketing campaigns to then be executed by the Media Directors. The right person for this role will have impeccable interpersonal and client management skills as there will be frequent direct communication with the client across the portfolio.  Regularly presenting up-to-date industry information to internal and external clients, training your peers, formulating innovation days, helping develop POVs across the various media disciplines all things that will be part of your daily existence here at DRUM.

In addition to being great at managing client relationships we are looking for someone who will focus on new business.  We are at a growth stage and this person’s contributions will be critical to that.  Helping manage RFPs, developing pitch materials and driving organic growth are but a subset of the things needed to help grow this agency to its full potential.

Qualifications

General:

  • 5-7 years of Integrated Media Planning and Buying Experience.
  • Experience working in a full-service agency and/or agency integration.
  • Strong client management skills.
  • Excellent strategic and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of media strategy development.
  • Self starter and self sufficient.
  • Inclusive leadership skills.
  • Ability to participate in high performance teams.
  • Exceptional relationship builder both internal and external.
  • Ability to manage own workload.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Comfort working with remote teams.
  • Stout ethics and moral compass.

New Business Focus:

  • Ability to facilitate and manage RFP Responses.
  • Ability to create and manage new business pitch material development.
  • Ability to collaborate with other discipline leads to build vision and thought leadership collateral for each media capacity.
  • Deliver Innovative thinking and approaches to current and future clients to facilitate growth.
  • Ability to manage and deliver on multiple demands within challenging deadlines.

Organic Growth Focus:

  • Ability to collaborate day-to-day with the media team to bring new/refreshed ideas to the table.
  • Assist in developing materials and pitching new opportunities to current clients.
  • Identify opportunities for channel/s to integrate more closely.
  • Collaborate with media team on developing integrated cross-channel plans.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to utilize network to bring in warm leads.
